About the role

We are looking for an experienced senior sales and technical professional in the technology industry with significant experience in developing US Government customers, solutions and GWAC implementation. The Technology Sales Director focused on US Government clients will lead the execution of our technology sales function into the US government. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in sales strategy, sales process creation and execution including lead generation, proposal development, opportunity qualification, contract negotiation and execution. The successful candidate will have a stellar track record of doing commercial business in the technology sector with the US, State and Local government.

Ideal experience

  • Extensive experience of developing customers and selling technology solutions to the US State and Local Government
  • Thorough knowledge of the requirements, processes and procedures of selling technology solutions to the US Government
  • Owning the technical engagement of specific implementation projects
  • Defining implementation architectures, assisting response to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the GCP technologies
  • Work cross functionally with sales and management to shape opportunities for our government customers
  • Knowledge of the requirements of various GWAC's and sales to USG customers
  • Ideally previous experience in government sales a large technology multinational such as Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce, HP etc
  • Expertise in Public Cloud and IT transformation is preferred.
  • Expertise in the energy sector and/or the security sector is desirable
  • Previous experience in selling new technology products or services for a large business entity
  • Proven sales leadership originating and closing technology services opportunities
  • Client facing (from deal qualification through close)
  • Experience selling new/emerging technologies
  • Ability to network across a large company
  • High energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness and ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills
  • Knowledgeable on GSA procurement practices and the requirements of GSA contracts for internal organizations
